تُعدّ هذه المومياء فهم أعمق لتاريخ وثقافة سكان ليبيا القدماء.

The mummy is currently displayed at the National Museum in Tripoli.

المومياء تم تحنيطها باستخدام الحبال، تطورت عنها فيما بعد التقنيات المصرية في التحنيط.
التحنيط هو عملية عضوية للحفاظ على الجسم.
يُعتقد أن الهدف من التحنيط كان لأغراض دينية وروحانية.

The child was preserved using methods that predate and possibly influenced Egyptian mummification.
Organic materials were used to preserve the body.
It’s believed the purpose was both spiritual and religious.

Introduction

مومياء وان موهجاج تعود إلى طفل صغير عاش قبل حوالي 5,400 عام.
تم العثور على المومياء بكهف، وان موهجاج بمنطقة الأكاكوس جنوب غرب ليبيا.
تعتبر أقدم مومياء في العالم تعود إلى العصر الحجري الحديث، وسبقت الأسلوب المتبع لدى المصريين القدماء بحوالي ألف عام.

The mummy is of a child who lived about 5,400 years ago.
Found in a cave in the Akakus region, southwestern Libya.
It's considered the world’s oldest known mummy — predating ancient Egyptian techniques.
